After a long walk, a long day shopping, or a day enjoying some entertainment with your pup, you don’t necessarily have to stop them off at your home or hotel before you get a drink. There are plenty of dog-friendly bars and breweries in Sonoma County that you can enjoy. Here are our favorite nine.

A brewing company has a lot of spent grain. What do they do with it? At Fogbelt Brewing Company, they make dog treats to hand out to the furry friends who frequent their patio. While the selection of 12 tap beers is a little small for some, you will be surprised at how well they pair with the savory food. Staff can help you make great pairings, or you can take our suggestion and pair their Stardusk Juicy IPA with almost anything on the menu (we love it that much.)
5. For the Cocktail Fanatic: Bird & The Bottle

Good news! While the Bear Republic Brewing Company briefly stopped serving dogs during Covid-19, they are back serving our four-legged friends once again. That’s excellent for any dog-human pairs who want to enjoy a natural, tranquil scene while they relax. Bear Republic Brewing Company has a great view, excellent drinks, and a very dog-friendly atmosphere. While you’re here, we suggest you try one of our favorites, Sonoma Tart®, perfectly refreshing with a little sour kick.
7. For the Rural Transplant: Barndiva

Do you and your dog miss lush green gardens, the rustic barn atmosphere, and farm-fresh options? Try this farm-to-fork restaurant and its delicious drinks. The menu changes monthly, based on in-season produce, but the wine menu is more stable with a healthy selection of local and international treats. Dogs and humans both love potatoes. For our part, we love to get the ample, crispy fries at Healdsburg Bar & Grill and pair it with one of the delicious beers on tap. Dogs might prefer to wait under the table for the inevitable moment when we drop a few fries. This great bar and grill is a classic spot, with a much better than average patio, large, enclosed and completely dog-friendly. Beyond the fries, they are also known for their burgers.
9. For the Beer Connoisseur: Woodfour Brewing Company
- Address: 6780 Depot St, Sebastopol

- Website: woodfourbrewing.com
When you are looking for an excellent, intriguing beer experience and you have your dog in tow, sitting on the patio at the Woodfour Brewing Company is an excellent decision. If you’re looking for our recommendation, try the Morning Selfie Lager, a cute name for a delicious coffee-roasted brew. We could go on about their German and other European-inspired brews or their pub fare offerings which are surprisingly tasty. But you don’t need to take our word for it.
We hope to catch you and your dog out for a drink at one of these great Sonoma dog-friendly bars and breweries.
